Red & Facebook
A short update today…
First, Red is finally finished and you can view her by moving over to my gallery. I will be posting a selection of wallpapers at some point, as requested, so will let you know when they are up.
I also have a new Facebook group - [Link] so feel free to join up ![]()
Nearly Done…
Well Red is almost done.
I havn`t posted every step here, but if your interested in seeing more of her progress you can visit the WIP forum on CGTalk - Link
So, what have I done up to now? I rendered out each layer, background, props, character and occlusion and started playing around with the final image in Photoshop by overlaying the layers. I then played around with the filters and adjusted the colour schemes untill I was happy with the basic result.
Here is what I have so far.
The next stage is to start and paint in some details, tweak the general shape etc. so hopefully I will be uploading a final version at some point next week ![]()
Rendering has begun.
Bit of a bulk update on Red now…
Since the last update I have tweaked her loads thanks to the feedback I have been getting on CGTalk. I have also built her backdrop and started work on the render.
Above are the final models.
Here is an early render where I am playing with lighting.
Here I have started wok on her final shaders/colours.
POP! New Project…
Hi all, been a while since I updated. First of all, as you can see I posted a new image, POP! This was just something quick and fun I wanted to do while working on my cartoon style. It gave me chance to recycle one of my old models (Stylised Female) and build some new “rim lighting” shaders which work really well, as well as try a few different modeling and post processing techniques.
Now I have the foundations I am going to move onto another stylised image, again reusing the tweaked Stylised Female model to save a little time. The subject this time will be a 3D version of an image by Dominic Marco titled Red Sonja which is not only a great piece of work, but also matches my model.
Here is the image -
I will post updates on my progress here once I start at some point next week.
More Painting
Wednesday, October 29th, 2008Project Update…
Tuesday, October 28th, 2008Project Update…
I have been concentrating on the final piece, giving the modeling a break for a while to focus on some basic shaders.
Here is an early render -
Its in no way finished yet. Once I am happy with the base shaders I have decided to brush the dust off my graphics tablet and hand paint alot of the smaller details in.
Oh, I decided to merge the two projects so you can now see the eraly wolfman in here too ![]()
